About the Role

We are looking for a Shutdown Coordinator – Conveyors to lead all activities related to shutdown planning and execution work. You will be responsible for working closely with Shutdown Planners, Electrical Coordinators, Permit Officers, our fixed plant teams and our contractor partners to develop and execute quality shutdown and breakdown conveyor belt plans. In addition, you will be responsible for managing contractors when on site and coordinating all belt related tasks pre, post and during shutdowns.

The primary function of this role will be to represent the Brockman 2/Nammuldi maintenance team as the subject matter expert for all tasks belt related, planned and unplanned, ensuring they are understood, scoped, planned and executed safely as well as involvement in the overall coordination of shutdowns.

You will be working an 8 days on, 6 off roster. Nightshift coverage may be required on an ad-hoc basis during execution periods.

Reporting to the Fixed Plant Shutdown Supervisor, you will be:

Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety in order to achieve a workplace target of zero injuries and incidents

Coordinating fault finding tasks on problematic conveyors and following through to resolution

Completing deep dives into shutdown work orders and identifying constraints such as interactions, commissioning requirements, isolations/permits, accuracy of duration of tasks, parts, resources etc.

Actively support and coordinate pre shut activities – i.e. job scoping, planning, shut org charts, development of wash-down & permit plans, crane set up maps, laydown/staging areas, tooling and consumables etc.

Actively support post shut activities – i.e. clean-up, tooling returns, parts return etc.

Influencing team members and our contract partners to generate improvement ideas

Providing subject matter expertise advice and information to other departments and stakeholders

Effectively communicating with internal and external teams and partners

Able to identify unsafe work practices or behaviours and STOP a job if required

Escalating matters of concern through chain of command when required

Work with contractors to confirm all QA/QC requirements have been met for each task during shutdowns

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

An unrestricted 'C' Class Driver's Licence

Excellent understanding of Work Management Systems and Process; able to easily navigate through SAP and Gantts

High exposure to Contractor Management System; CMS qualification required

The ability to engage with the team and our contractor partners to promote site’s values and positive culture

Where you will be working

Located 60km north-west of Tom Price, Brockman 2 is an open pit operation, offering a fly in fly out roster. Operational since 1992, it forms part of the Nammuldi below-water-table mine.
