This position leads one or more small teams of software engineers to architect, develop and validate integrated software systems for mining operations. The incumbent will focus on developing people, delivering value to our clients while meeting quality targets. Software systems may be cloud/mobile or on-premise software for automation or manned operations.
Primary responsibilities are people management and development, alignment of product architecture and feature development to client strategy, and software engineering process execution and improvement.
Recruit team members, assign, direct and evaluate work, oversee career development, encourage continuous learning and a high-performance culture.
Incumbent acts to emphasise on time delivery of high quality solutions that meet client expectations efficiently and with minimal client effort.
Continuously communicate with stakeholders and process partners, manage agile software development to align to commercial programs.
Lead in the development of the technical solution. Promote innovation. Identify and mediate resource gaps, technical risks, program alignment concerns.
Maintain technical proficiency in modern software product development including but not limited to cloud, data science, data warehousing, service orientated architecture, enterprise application integration, mobile applications, security, DevOps.
Bachelor level STEM degree from an accredited college or university
Hands on software engineering (encompassing full product development lifecycle)
Prior supervisory/team lead role

Knowledge of mining technology and solutions

Strong client focus and experience formulating technical strategy
Proven ability to lead via influence, and engage all levels of an organization
Travel Requirements– 15% domestic and international
