The Role
The purpose of this role is to support site-based teams to identify and effectively resolve productivity losses resulting in measurable and sustainable business improvements and innovation.
Reporting to Manager – Strategy & Excellence this role will be responsible for driving improvement and innovation at Cracow and Tritton Operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to innovation and a drive to implement contemporary business improvement practices and project governance. As a collaborative and consultative facilitator, you will have the ability to leverage interpersonal relationships across sites to deliver required business operational excellence objectives.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Identifying, leading and participating in projects to improve the effectiveness of the operations
Scoping and implementing innovation opportunities including technology solutions
Facilitating and driving change through coaching, training, and mentoring Improvement Champions across site.
Implementation of improvement tools and methodologies (e.g. LEAN/Six Sigma) for problem solving within the organisation.
Identifying, collecting, analysing and interpreting relevant information to support effective decision making
Maintain business improvement reporting dashboard and project updates
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
5 years’ experience in facilitating continuous improvement projects and initiatives in manufacturing or heavy industry, preferably mining
Formal qualifications in Business Improvement, or similar is desirable but not mandatory
Strong communication, analytical and commercial capability
Exposure to building and maintaining a continuous improvement dashboard including project management software and reporting
Proven success with internal capability build of workforce
